Whitening

Whitening

Teeth whitening is a popular procedure that enhances the appearance of your smile. Using a specific bleaching process, your dentist can whiten stained or discolored teeth in a safe and relatively painless procedure. Ideal for most patients, we offer in-office and tray whitening options.

In-office whitening is ideal for those desiring immediate results and is the perfect choice for busy individuals, as the procedure takes place in a single, one-hour visit. In this process, a protective gel is applied to your gums and impressions are taken to create custom trays that you can use at home for touch-ups. Then, your teeth are whitened using an LED blue light. The result is a dramatically whiter smile that will last for years.

Tray whitening is a more affordable and gradual whitening treatment option that you can use in the comfort of your home. To begin, we take an impression of your teeth to create your customized clear trays. Within a few days, your trays will be ready for pickup and we will show you how to apply special bleaching material, and explain how and when to wear them. You will see maximum results when used properly, and is perfect for maintaining your new smile.

Veneers

Veneers

Veneers are a thin covering that is placed over the outside, visible area of the tooth to correct uneven spaces between teeth, imperfections, and discolorations. The placement procedure of veneers can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth, after which bonding occurs.

The indirect technique usually involves two appointments, as the veneers must first be fabricated in a dental laboratory. During the first appointment, teeth are prepared, impressions are taken, and your teeth are given a temporary covering. After 2-3 weeks, your new porcelain or pressed ceramic veneers arrive from the laboratory, at which time the temporary covering is removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less of your tooth structure is removed in order for the procedure to be completed.
